Polish-Japanese Friendship Foundation NAMI in cooperation with Culture Zone Wroclaw were pleased to invite for:
Japanese Culture Festival in Wroclaw NIHON NO NAMI 2018 (日本の波 lit. Japanese Wave).
This year's festival has combined many events in one time (June 9-10th 2018) and one place (IMPART, 17th Mazowiecka str. ).

SHORTENED PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL
WITH TWO-DAYS ENTRY TICKET (30/15 zlotys) YOU GET:
ON THE BIG STAGE: Saturday 15:00-18:00
– Opening ceremony: presentation of the guests,
– Japanese traditional dance Nihon buyō by Hana Umeda,
– Japanese martial arts demonstration,
– Japanese traditional music by Hibiki Ichikawa (shamisen) i Akari Mochizuki (vocal and drum).
In the GALLERY: Saturday 15:00-20:00
– Exhibition of bonsai, formed and nursed by masters of Polish Bonsai Association,
– Exhibition of Japanese Calligraphy (shodō) Sayuri Goto-Fuksiewicz,
– Japanese dress: kimono, yukata, hakama dress up and take a photo,
– Japanese meals and drinks to buy and try.
FOR CHILDREN IN THE GALLERY: Sunday 10:00-13:00
– Japanese outfit: become a Japanese girl or samurai,
– Japanese food: how to use chopsticks and prepare simply meals,
– Let's Catch the Lion!: Japanese chess for children,
– How to become a samurai, martial arts as a play,
– Origami and Sakura flowers let's make a paper world,
– Kendama: training of the visual-motor coordination in play.
FOR CHILDREN AT THE STAGE: Sunday
– Show combining rakugo and songs by Japanese masters and martial arts story.
ADDITIONALLY IN TWO DAYS ENTRY + RAKUGO TICKETS (60/30 zlotys)
ON THE STAGE: Saturday 18:00-20:00
– Rakugo Show: Master Bunzo Tachibanaya III and Wasabi Yanagiya will perform rakugo stories
– Between the rakugo stories Aco Tomine will sing folk songs (min'yō) with accordion accompaniment
ADDITIONALLY IN TWO DAYS ENTRY + RAKUGO + BANQUET TICKETS (150 zlotys)
IN THE GALLERY: Saturday 20:00-22:00
– Banquet-tasting of Japanese meals and drinks
WORKSHOPS (separate registration – more information soon)
– Shodō: workshop of Japanese calligraphy by Sayuri Goto-Fuksiewicz,
– Rakugo: Master Bunzo Tachibanaya III and Wasabi Yanagiya will introduce the conventionality of rakugo.

– Two-days entry + rakugo: 60/30 zlotys
– Two-days entry + Rakugo + banquet-tasting 150 zlotys
Reduced tariffs are for students up to the age of 26.
